Show Us How You Would Configure Your 2024 Toyota Tacoma

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma configurator is now live, which means it’s officially time to play Build Your Own Truck. Sadly, the Tacoma TRD Pro and Trailhunter aren’t available yet, and the hybrid powertrain that’s good for 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque is also missing, so some of the best theoretical configurations can’t be built just yet.

Still, if you want to spend a lot of money on a Toyota Tacoma, you can always go for the Tacoma Limited, which starts at $52,100. As the luxury-focused version of the Tacoma, it’s only available with a five-foot bed, an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Eventually, you’ll be able to pair it with the hybrid powertrain, but for now, it’s only available with the turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.

On the other end, there’s the base-model Tacoma SR, which starts at $31,500. If you go with the double-cab configuration, you get a five-foot bed, but if you need the extra length, the XtraCab version gives you a six-foot bed. If you get the automatic, you have your choice of rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, but both only make 228 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. Opt for the manual, however, and you’ll be locked into four-wheel drive but get an engine that makes 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque.

Unfortunately for anyone looking for an affordable truck with a manual transmission, a basic Tacoma SR with no options other than the stick shift is going to cost you $38,395 once you include the $1,495 destination charge. And since Toyota doesn’t actually let you order a specific configuration, we’d be surprised if many of those end up on dealer lots. Still, a girl can dream. At least as long as she’s rich enough to afford a nearly $40,000 truck.

Since we’re playing with imaginary money here, how would you spec your ideal 2024 Toyota Tacoma? Play around in the configurator and let us know down in the comments.
