MANILA, Philippines — The Shakey’s Super League has postponed its Collegiate Pre-season Championship second-round games scheduled on Friday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum due to the inclement weather caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

The league made the announcement on Thursday night when Metro Manila was placed under Signal No.2.

The doubleheader between rivals Far Eastern University and the University of Santo Tomas and the clash of the champions between UAAP titlist National University and NCAA ‘three-peat’ champion College of Saint Benilde will be rescheduled to a later date.

UST is eyeing its second straight win in Pool F against FEU to boost its bid for a quarterfinals twice-to-beat advantage.

NU, on the other hand, is seeking to bounce back from a tough first loss to La Salle in its Pool E clash against CSB.

The three-peat-seeking Lady Bulldogs saw their 28-game unbeaten streak — dating back to SSL’s debut in 2022 — snapped by the Lady Spikers, 30-32, 25-14, 22-25, 25-21, last Sunday.

SSL has weekend games scheduled at Rizal Memorial Coliseum but the status would still depend on the weather situation.
