Here’s a look at some of the big releases coming to a screen near you this September.

NFL — 2024 season (7Plus) Streaming September 7

The 2024 season of the NFL kicks off this month. Select matches of the 105th NFL season will be available to stream on 7Plus.

Catch the Green Bay Packers clash against the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil. The first of five games will be played internationally. It marks the first time a regular season NFL game will be played in South America.

Follow your favourite team as they strive for victory at Super Bowl LIX.

76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards — special event (Binge) Streaming September 16

Catch TV stars in all their glory during the 76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Father and son pair of Schitt’s Creek fame, Eugene and Dan Levy are set to host.

Shōgun is up for Outstanding Drama Series and has a whopping 25 nominations, closely followed by The Bear, which is up for Outstanding Comedy Series. It has 23 nominations.

Agatha All Along — season premiere (Disney Plus) Streaming September 18

The latest entry in the vast Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Television’s Agatha All Along premieres this month with two episodes. The witch Agatha Harkness finds herself powerless after a mysterious goth known only as the “Teen” frees her from a spell.

Together Agatha and the Teen pull together a coven of witches to brave the gauntlet that is the Witches Road, a series of trials which will reward the witches with “what they need” should they make it to the end.

Kathryn Hahn (Agatha Harkness), Joe Locke (Teen), Sasheer Zamata (Jennifer Kale), Ali Ahn (Alice Wu-Gulliver), Aubrey Plaza (Rio Vidal), Debra Jo Rupp (Mrs. Hart) and Patti LuPone (Lilia Calderu) star.

Killer Heat — series premiere (Prime Video) Streaming September 26

A modern mystery presented with classic noir style Killer Heat follows private eye and American expat in Greece, Nick Bali (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Nick is hired to investigate the supposedly accidental death of young shipping magnate Leo Vardakis on the Greek island of Crete. After the official police report, Leo’s sister-in-law remains suspicious of his death.

Nick must find the truth in a location where the Vardarkis family rule with an iron fist and any of them could be a suspect. Killer Heat also stars Richard Madden and Shailene Woodley. The series is based on Jo Nesbø’s short story The Jealousy Man

Wolfs — film premiere (Apple TV Plus) Streaming September 27

Wolfs is a new action-comedy from director Jon Watts featuring the powerhouse duo of George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

A professional fixer hired to cover up a high-stakes crime Clooney’s character a “lone wolf”. When Pitt’s character ( a second fixer) shows up the two are forced to work together to survive the night.

Uglies — film premiere (Netflix) Streaming September 13

Based on Scott Westerfeld’s Young Adult series, Uglies is set in the future where everyone undergoes cosmetic surgery at the age of 16. Tally Youngblood (Joey King) is excited at her chance to have her operation and become a fully-fledged member of society.

When Tally goes after her runaway friend she finds herself questioning everything she has ever thought she wanted.
