Fresh off press for Only Murders In The Building, Selena Gomez is already onto promoting her film Emilia Pérez at the New York Film Festival. But don’t expect any method dressing here: Gomez is sticking to her tried-and-true red carpet formula by wearing a black dress.
Something of an LBD connoisseur at this point, Gomez knows that wearing black doesn’t have to be boring. For the NYFF premiere of Emilia Pérez, she enlisted the help of Vera Wang, who fashioned the actor a custom dress for the occasion. The floor-length halter dress featured an enormous bow at the nape of her neck, a cowl neckline, and a cinched waist. Gomez accessorized with matching black arm warmers and towering black patent leather platforms from Giuseppe Zanotti. With her hair slicked back in a sleek bun, Gomez showed off dangling pear-shaped diamond earrings, which complemented her rings.
Later in the night, Gomez changed into a proper LBD for a post-premiere dinner at Nobu in Midtown Manhattan. She opted for a black lace minidress over black tights, and pointy-toe pumps. She added a touch of menswear inspiration with a black tuxedo jacket.
Don’t just take our word for it: according to Selena Gomez, there are infinite ways to rock an all-black look.
