See Inside Vogue Club’s Exclusive Screening of Vogue World: Paris

As finishing touches for Vogue World: Paris were being carried out at Place Vendôme, across the Atlantic, Vogue Club members were crisscrossing Lower Manhattan on their way to a Club-exclusive Livestream Watch Party. Their ultimate destination? Tribeca’s Roxy Hotel and its underground jazz club, Django, which provided the perfect respite from midsummer heat.

Upon arrival, members were escorted into the bar’s moody depths, where the vaulted ceilings and curved banquettes provided the ideal backdrop for photo opportunities from photographer Ryan Sides. As the waitstaff traversed the hallway with cocktails and canapés, members gathered together in front of an expansive screen at the top of an exposed-brick auditorium.

From the lounge, longstanding Club members linked up with familiar faces while newcomers introduced themselves—with any hands not holding a martini glass clutching complimentary candies and popcorn from the concession stand. Typical of Club events, there was glitz, glamour, and a bit of razzle-dazzle to be seen all-around. (Think flowing dresses, sharp silhouettes, and on-point blazers.)

While Jean Paul Gaultier was preparing to send Aya Nakamura through the crackling atmosphere of Place Vendôme, members gathered in the screening room, with many gasping in delight at the custom-made Vogue World books designed by Nike. As showtime commenced and the event’s host, Cara Delevigne, began walking us through the events unfolding, the stillness in the room made apparent the collective awe at this once-in-a-lifetime spectacle at the Place Vendôme.

And when the lights turned on post-stream, members dissected their favorite moments—with many mentioning Sabrina Carpenter, Serena Williams, and Katy Perry. The show, with its cast of hundreds, had the crowd alight with conversation, and as everyone gradually filtered back out onto the streets of Tribeca, one thing was certain. Vogue World: Paris—like its accompanying livestream rollout in New York—was another tour de force.
