Saoirse Ronan Has Undergone a Style Shift for the Ages

Earlier this year, Saoirse Ronan returned to the screen with a double header: Steve McQueen’s World War II film Blitz, and her passion project, The Outrun, a drama about a woman just out of rehab. For her reentry into the public eye, Ronan tapped stylist Danielle Goldberg to help her meet the moment.

And lo, Ronan’s rejuvenated sense of style has already set the internet ablaze, like when she was spotted wearing a vibrant teal JW Anderson dress—and fresh off the runway, no less—or her power-clashing moment in archival Phoebe Philo-era Celine from 2013. But fashion fiends have been particularly thrilled with Goldberg styling the Oscar nominee in younger labels like newly minted LVMH Prize winner Hodakova, New York darling Colleen Allen, and ultra-cool sunglasses brand Thistles.

Ahead of what’s sure to be a busy awards season for the actor, we got an early taste of what we can expect from Ronan’s red carpet style. At the 2024 Gotham Awards in New York City, the actor shot straight to best-dressed territory in an ankle-length Schiaparelli couture dress embellished with 3D thorns and complete with a rosette emerging from the neckline of her bustier.

A regular collaborator with Nicolas Ghesquière, she turned to Louis Vuitton for the 2024 Emmys, where she wore a navy blue two-piece with a sheer draped panel, and again for the Academy Museum Gala where she opted for a black column dress with a sculptural off-the-shoulder top. The pair also kicked off the season on a high at the Governors Awards, where Ronan wore a light aqua Louis Vuitton column dress with a tactile bodice.

Follow along here as we celebrate Saoirse Ronan’s style throughout the 2024-2025 awards season.
