It may have been King Charles’s long-awaited return to royal duty, but it was Queen Camilla who sent fans ‘wild’ as she wore a beautiful leopard print statement dress to accompany the King to a cancer treatment centre in central London.
Camilla donned a favourite floaty leopard print dress by loved designer, Fiona Clare, with soft layers and ruffles around the collar and down the front of the dress as she opted for a delicate outfit choice for the occasion.
Her Majesty, 76, added a sensible pair of heels, and opaque tights and wore her signature Van Cleef & Arpels yellow gold and agate bracelet. She also accessorised her look with more delicate gold jewellery including a Kiki McDonough topaz and diamond pendant and her favourite gold plate pendant – which features the five initials of her grandchildren from her first marriage.
Royal fans were impressed with the Queen’s outfit choice. Social media user, @lady_womble, wrote: “Loving that dress on Camilla.”
Whereas, X user, @RhobhNewbie noted the outfit was a re-wear for the royal, who is a fan of sustainable fashion: “Looked familiar but I wasn’t certain. It’s fabulous! Maybe we’ll see it again with her trusty black boots!”
A fan of recycled fashion and caring for the environment, Queen Camilla re-used a Moynat ‘Gabrielle BB’ brown textured handbag, worth £5,620, to complete the look. With a dress this eye-catching, Queen Camilla was right to keep her accessories lowkey.
The Queen also stuck to her trademark look when it came to her hair, styling her blonde bob in voluminous waves and kept her makeup subtle.
Sharing praise for Camilla’s style, one fan on Instagram said: “Love this dress, I think Camilla looks great.” Whereas another wrote: “She looks lovely and happy. Beautiful couple.”
Camilla previously wore the leopard print frock while visiting the Élysée Palace with Charles in September 2023, when the couple was entertained by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife.
The 76-year-old Queen joined her husband as he returned to more fulsome duties at the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, where he met with patients and staff.
Queen Camilla has been a huge support for the King as Charles still has cancer himself, having revealed his diagnosis at the start of February, and is still receiving treatment for it.
Elsewhere on their visit, the King and Queen met clinicians to hear more about their use of innovative technology at UCLH; including CT scanners which are being used to help with the early detection of cancer.
The Palace added that the King’s medical team was “very encouraged by the progress made so far” and remains “positive about the King’s continued recovery”.
