The Spyker C8 is one of the rarest cars in the world. Even though the company was founded in 1999, the company didn’t actually start producing vehicles until 2003 with the C8. Just 266 C8s were made from ’03 until the company’s bankruptcy in 2010. If you’ve got deep pockets, you can own one of these beautiful supercars. One is currently listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

This isn’t just any ole Spyker C8, this was one owned by legendary rapper, producer and singer Missy Elliott. To pile on the exclusivity, this particular C8 is one of just 32 Laviolettes — Spyker’s fancy term for coupe — that came to the U.S. and is also the only left hand drive C8 in this particular color configuration. Elliott went for a black exterior with red interior.

The seller, who also mentions that he purchased the car directly from Elliott two years ago, says its in perfect condition. The only modifications done to it were an aftermarket sound system Elliott had installed that’s hidden in the glovebox. Power for the C8 comes from a 4.2-liter Audi V8. And to quell any fence sitters about buying a supercar powered by an engine with notorious reliability, the seller says this car is a later one powered by the 4.2 with a timing chain rather than a timing belt.

The car also had a $4,000 “comprehensive service” from a Spyker expert in the Atlanta area though they didn’t exactly say what that service entailed. All the fluids were also replaced last year since this thing has been barely driven; the seller mentions there’s just 1,500 miles on the C8. Not everything is perfect either.

The seller mentions the tire pressure monitoring system light is on because “there is some uncertainty about which system it uses.” One of the glass roof panels has a small crack and there’s some undocumented paint work on the edge of the front hood that was discovered when the car was being detailed. But it does have a clean history with no accidents. If you want a chance to own this rarity, you’ll have to part with $599,000. A lot of money, sure, but there’s a reason for it. The seller wants to go flooded hypercar hunting in Dubai. They’re also down to trade.

I am selling the car to go shopping for flooded hypercars in Dubai so it’s time for another project. I am happy to accept trades which I might keep or get covered by dealer friends.

If you’re interested, you can hit up Facebook Marketplace or contact Switchcars in Twinsburg, Ohio who’s handling the deal.
