It seems the former martial artist and Hollywood action star has let go of his once-fit body and now reportedly weighs 320 pounds after appearing in a recently-debuted Russian propaganda documentary.
According to the Daily Mail, the 72-year-old Seagal shows off his more big-boned figure in In The Name of Justice, a 30-minute documentary about the Ukraine war that was released Oct. 10 on Russian website Smotrim.ru, which Russian state broadcaster VGTRK operates.
The 6-foot-4 star of Contract To Kill appeared to have a large belly that protruded from his untucked shirt. His arms barely able to wrap around his body.
Seagal is known to do his best to have control over flattering pictures of himself released, with recent pictures showing him wearing loose-fitting tops and taken from chest up. He hasn’t posted a picture of himself on Instagram since December 2021, the Daily Mail reported.

But a 30-minute Russian propaganda documentary about the Ukraine war released this month titled In The Name of Justice, revealed his figure had drastically changed from the 90s when he featured not only in the two Under Siege movies but other hard-charging films such as Marked for Death and On Deadly Ground.
In the documentary, Seagal explores Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine. A description on the documentary’s website noted the former actor spoke with victims of Ukrainian nationalists and witnessed what was happening in Donbas, a region occupied by Russian insurgents in 2022.

The Hard to Kill star left Hollywood behind after being granted Russian citizenship in 2016. Seagal has been an outspoken supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
An unnamed person who worked with Seagal in the 2000s told the Daily Mail they were shocked by his appearance, believing he gained “at least 50 pounds.” The source said Seagal would’ve been angered if footage of the rotund star had aired 20 years ago.
“He would have gone ape-s*** at the cameraman for anything that made his hair or weight look bad,” they said.
“Seagal, as a rule, controlled the narrative hard when filming as he insisted on certain camera angles and nothing that accentuates his weight gain,” said the source.
