PS Plus May 2024 free PS4 and PS5 games – Hades, EA Sports FC 24 and Call of Duty Vanguard | Gaming | Entertainment

The next batch of PlayStation Plus Essentials are about to be revealed by Sony. The slightly delayed PS Plus Essentials for May 2024 will be officially unveiled at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of May 1. This means the free PS4 and PS5 games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on the morning of May 7. With the announcement just a few days away, fans have been attempting to predict which games will join the line-up in May. If the predictions are anything to go by, then the May 2024 line-up could be one of the best of the year so far. According to the predictions thread on Reddit, EA Sports FC 24 could headline PS Plus next month.

As pointed out by the Reddit thread, Sony has added an Electronic Arts game in May for the past few years.

EA published racing game GRID Legends joined PS Plus last year, FIFA 22 joined in 2022, and Battlefield V was added in May 2021.

With this in mind, don’t be surprised if EA Sports FC 24 joins the line-up in May 2024. It would help give the football game a boost, especially with the current Premier League season coming to an end.

Other games tipped to join the PS Plus line-up in May include Hades, which has been ever-present in the predictions thread for the past 12 months.

With the sequel in full development (and an early access PC release inbound), it feels like now or never for roguelike action game Hades.

There are also multiple predictions for Call of Duty: Vanguard, which certainly makes sense from a historic perspective. Call of Duty games typically appear once a year on PS Plus, so again, don’t be surprised if May is the month.

Other games tipped to appear include Sonic Frontiers, Forspoken, LEGO Marvel Superheroes and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion.

The Dead Space Remake would also be a good fit for PS Plus, alongside Wild Hearts, Frostpunk, Nier Automata and Cult of the Lamb.

With Star Wars Jedi Survivor recently appearing on Xbox Game Pass, some users think it may also join PS Plus.

Taking place five years after its predecessor, Jedi Survivor sees Cal Kestis once again take on the Empire.

Elsewhere, Monster Hunter Rise makes an appearance or two, alongside The Quarry, Like a Dragon Ishin, Metro Exodus and Resident Evil Village.
