Consisting of around a dozen PS4, PS5, PlayStation classics and PSVR 2 titles, the PS Plus Extra and Premium line-up will be unveiled at 4.30pm BST UK time on September 11. The next batch of PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be available to download and install from the morning of September 17. It’s worth noting that a number of games will leave the service on the same day.

In a surprising move, one of the games leaving PS Plus Extra on September 17 is first-party PlayStation exclusive Horizon Forbidden West.

The sequel to Horizon Forbidden Dawn sees lead character Aloy venture to the “Forbidden West” to find a cure for a mysterious plague.

Fans will be hoping Horizon Forbidden West is replaced by something equally as epic in size and scope in September.

Other games leaving the service include Unpacking, 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, Planet Coaster, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Alien Isolation, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Nier Replicant, Spiritfarer, Cloudpunk and a host of Star Ocean releases.

As for the games joining PS Plus Extra, fans on Reddit believe God of War Ragnarok could join the line-up in September.

The addition of a blockbuster first-party game would certainly make sense, especially with Horizon Forbiddem West leaving the line-up.

This also leaves room for the likes of The Last of Us: Part 1, The Last of Us 2 and Gran Turismo 7 – the latter of which is also playable on PSVR 2.

Other games featured heavily on the monthly Reddit predictions post include Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, despite only launching back in January.

That’s on top of all the usual suspects like Forspoken, Sonic Frontiers, Hades, Dead Island 2 and Nier Automata. Similar to the God of War Ragnarok scenario, Nier Automata would make sense given that Nier Replicant is leaving.

High on Life also gets a lot of mentions, alongside the likes of Dead Space Remake, Robocop and various LEGO releases.

Bizarrely, Final Fantasy 16 is one of the most picked games on the thread, although it still feels far too soon for such a high-profile game.

Other games on the list include Far Cry 5, The Stanley Parable, Resident Evil Village, Kingdom Come Deliverance and Stray.
