Port Adelaide star Aliir Aliir and partner Sabina Wheatley have announced the safe arrival of their second child.
The pair welcomed their baby boy into the world on Tuesday, less than a week after the Power’s season came to a heartbreaking end in the preliminary final.
Aliir and Wheatley shared three photos of their new baby, but didn’t reveal the name.

“Our baby boy has arrived 💙 24/09/2024,” the caption said.
Their post was quickly flooded with likes and congratulations from friends and the AFL community.
“Wow congratulations beautiful fam!!!!” one friend wrote.
“Congratulations to you all! How adorable,” another said.
“Oh my gosh! How gorgeous! Congratulations guys,” another added.
The couple are already parents to two-year-old boy Mayom.
Aliir has previously spoken about how becoming a father was the best thing that’s ever happened to him.
“I don’t even know how to describe (becoming a dad) to be honest. It’s been such a blessing. I’ve got a little six-month-old baby and there’s times where you get two hours sleep but you wake up and you’ve got him in your hands and it just feels like you slept for nine hours,” he said ahead of the 2023 season.
“He’s the best thing that’s happened to me.”
Born in a Kenyan refugee camp to South Sudanese parents, Aliir has become an inspiration after carving out a successful AFL career.
First drafted by Sydney, Aliir joined Port Adelaide ahead of the 2021 season and took his game to a whole new level.
He was selected in the All-Australian team in his first season at the Power and remains one of the best intercept defenders in the game.
He played 25 games this year, including his 150th, as the Power finished second on the ladder before losing to Sydney in last week’s preliminary final.
