A popular Scottish DJ and record producer has died in an accident in Ibiza, Spain.
Jack Revill, known by his stage name Jackmaster, died on Saturday morning from “complications arising from an accidental head injury”, according to a statement from his family.
“It is with profound sorrow that we confirm the untimely passing of Jack Revill, known to many as Jackmaster,” they said.

“While deeply touched by the overwhelming support from friends, colleagues, and fans, the family kindly requests privacy as they navigate the immense grief of this devastating loss.”
His family described him as a “pioneer” in the electronic music scene and had a talent for “blending genres and delivering electrifying DJ sets”.
“His legacy will continue to inspire, and his impact on the world of dance music will remain indelible,” they said.
The 38-year-old learnt to DJ when he was 12 and spent most of his teenage years in clubs and bars around Glasgow before getting a permanent resident spot at Glasgow techno institution Monox.
In 2010 Revill was awarded Breakthrough DJ at DJ Magazine’s Best Of British Awards and four years later was awarded Best DJ at the same award show.
He was also the co-founder of record label and club night promoter Numbers.
Fellow electronic DJs and producers have paid tribute to Revill, including English music duo Disclosure.
“Can’t believe this. Heart broken. Thank you for all the amazing memories and inspiration Jack. This is just awful, awful, awful,” they said.
South Korean DJ and singer Kim Min-ji, known as Peggy Gou, said: “RIP Jack” while Danish DJ Kölsch said Revill’s death was “terrible news”.
