Paris Shopping Guide: Where 3 Fashion Week Regulars Shop in Paris

Ever wonder where the industry A-list shops in between shows at Paris Fashion Week? There are certain boutiques where you’ll find a stylish crowd perusing the goods—whether they’re on the hunt for a fresh-off-the-runway look, or an unexpected vintage gem. In honor of PFW, Vogue reached out to three fashion week veterans to find out what their must-visit stores in the City of Light are.

What made the cut for fashion buyers Chloe King, Telsha Anderson, and Sherri McMullen? For starters, the quaint Dries Van Noten store on Quai Malaquais, and Thanx God I’m a VIP—a well-curated vintage shop with archival Hermès, Saint Laurent, and more. Given that all three fashion week regulars are regularly snapped on the street style circuit, we’ll go ahead and trust their advice. Read on for their picks.

Chloe King, buyer at Neiman Marcus

“When I do [Paris Fashion Week], I always make time to go to the Dries Van Noten store on Quai Malaquais. As you can imagine, it’s like spending a few moments inside [the designer’s] brain, so every flower and piece of furniture is impeccable. I find it a quiet and inspiring little oasis in the hectic show schedule, and of course I always find a little treasure to bring home with me. Its assortment is different from what you’ll find anywhere else in the world, and don’t sleep on the men’s shop next door. If I have time, I also love going to the Charvet store on Place Vendôme—it’s like taking a step back in time. Incredibly chic, no phones allowed, the best shirting. Follow with a drink and people-watching at Hotel Costes—j’adore.”

Telsha Anderson, owner of T.A.

“A few of my favorite places are the Broken Arm boutique, and Thanx God I’m a VIP for vintage. Both of them are two of my must-visits whenever I’m in Paris. They each have a unique perspective on fashion, and a fresh buy of what’s straight off the runway—or an old-school vintage find.”

Sherri McMullen, owner of McMullen

“[The] Vintage Paris Marais Store is a must-visit—I’m always on the hunt for vintage Hermès and Tom Ford for Gucci items. And Galerie des Lyons. I love coming back to Bonpoint each time I’m in Paris: The team in the store remembers me and makes it so easy to pick out new items for my son, who never stops growing! I’ve found many vintage lamps and amazing lighting for my home at Marché Biron—especially some really special ones from the ’70s.”
