Connections of UK galloper Docklands face an anxious wait to see if their charge will run in the Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
Docklands underwent a Racing Victoria vets examination in quarantine at Werribee on Friday morning and noticed a change in the horse’s gait.

The Harry Eustace-trained galloper will be re-examined prior to the 7.30 scratching time on Saturday morning to determine the horse’s suitability to race.
RV stewards also advised that Docklands would race with equicast on the his left front foot.
Cox Plate favourite Prognosis also underwent a vet’s examination at Werribee on Friday and was given the all-clear to start.
Pride Of Jenni, who returned to the Cranbourne stable of Ciaron Mahar on Wednesday after racing in Sydney last weekend, was passed fit to race by the RV vet team, although she was not wearing shoes.
The mare will be re-inspected when she arrives at Moonee Valley on Saturday, undergoing a trot-up in front of vets with her racing plates on.
