After years on broadcast TV, Sunrise star Sam Mac knows how to handle any situation.
But the weatherman made somewhat of an on-air blunder on Tuesday, while he was sailing on a Disney cruise line between Melbourne and New Zealand.
Mac surprised his co-star Nat Barr with a drawing of a princess, only to accidentally drop it into the ocean, while holding it up to the camera from the cruise ship balcony.

Mac had first promised Barr he was going to help her to live out a dream.
So he went to the “magical restaurant” on the Disney cruise ship, where cruise-goers can draw a princess and watch it become an animation.
“There’s a lady on our show, her name is Natalie. She told me once at a Christmas party after she had a few, she said ‘I always wanted to be a princess’,” Mac told one of the Disney cruise workers.
Mac began drawing a simple picture of a princess resembling a red stick figure.
“She does have nice lashes, they’re not real, but that’s OK — a beautiful smile, very white teeth,” he added.
Barr laughed, as the quick-witted weatherman kept going.
“Definitely no wrinkles on Princess Natalie — don’t need to worry about that,” Mac said.
“Just a few,” Barr replied.
“Conservative neckline. Nice hands. Long fingers. Used to play the piano,” Mac continued.
“I did,” Barr chimed in.
Mac held up the drawing, prompting a fit of laughter from Barr.
The picture was converted into a Disney animation, a feature offering of the family-friendly cruise line.
Sam then made his way out onto the balcony where he held the picture up to the camera, only to accidentally drop it into the Tasman Sea.
“Oh, no. It’s gone. It’s gone out to sea,” Mac said.
“Nooo,” Shirvo added.
“We’ve lost it, it’s out to sea,” Mac said.
“Anyone in New Zealand can you please return it to us. If you find it in Auckland, we need that. I’m shocked. It started out so well.”
“Princess overboard,” Barr said.
“She’s gone free — she’ll wash up somewhere wonderful,” Mark Beretta said.
“Maybe you’re the little mermaid,” Edwina Bartholomew added.
