One of the greatest movies ever made is currently available for free to anyone with a Netflix subscription.
Released in 1994 on October 21 in the UK it stars some of the biggest Hollywood stars of all time.
Fans can now revisit the thrilling, twisted and often hilarious crime epic as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Starring Samuel L Jackson, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, Ving Rhames and many more, it’s a must-watch for any movie buff.
The film is, of course, Pulp Fiction, directed by celebrated filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.
Set across multiple interconnected narratives, the film’s primary story follows hitmen Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega (Jackson and Travolta) who are sent to retrieve a briefcase for their boss Marsellus Wallace (Rhames).
Vincent also has a nail-biting encounter with Marsellus’ wife Mia Wallace (Thurman) while prizefighter Butch Coolidge (Willis) double-crosses the crime lord by winning a fixed fight and goes on the run.
Pulp Fiction regularly appears on lists of the greatest films ever made and is frequently called a masterpiece by film critics and historians.
It’s currently sitting at the number eight spot on IMDb’s Top 250 Movies of All Time, as voted by users.
In 2008, Entertainment Weekly called it the best film released since 1983, ahead of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Titanic and Blue Velvet.
On the film’s 20th anniversary, The Guardian critic Peter Bradshaw called it a “mesmeric thriller still breathtaking 20 years on.”
“The dialogue, the soundtrack, the sheer directionless excitement – Tarantino’s thunderclap of a thriller is just as brilliant as it was two decades ago,” he wrote in his five-star review.
Ian Freer of Empire also gave it five stars upon its release, writing: “Pulp’s witty writing, pop culture-surfing, gleeful amorality, cult tuneology and hyperkinetic energy has redefined the crime genre for the foreseeable future.”
Movie buffs have also continued to sing Pulp Fiction’s praises in the past 30 years, cementing its legendary status as the height of modern crime movies.
One enthusiast said on Reddit: “I rewatched Pulp Fiction today, it’s still the greatest movie I have ever seen even when rewatching.
While someone just this year posted: “Pulp Fiction is the greatest movie of the past 50 years.
“It did everything to near perfection. Every second of this film was thought out. And it shows.
“What’s better? Seriously? It does everything so well. Not a single shot was just to get it over with. Everything mattered!”
Pulp Fiction is now streaming on Netflix.
