On Saturday Night, Monse’s Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia Hosted a New York Fashion Week Cocktail

Just hours after co-designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia unveiled their spring 2025 collection for Monse at Genesis House in the Meatpacking District, the duo gathered friends and fashion folk for a celebratory cocktail party across town.

The soirée took place at 215, located within Ian Schrager’s Public Hotel, right in the heart of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Guests were greeted with craft cocktails by Johnnie Walker Blue Label, which were sipped in the moody space adorned with black velvet drapes and chandelier-like art installations. Beautiful arrangements of deep red dahlias and feathery stems by Tabulot florals enhanced the speakeasy-inspired setting.

It was an exceptionally busy day for Kim, who also launched her signature fashion smoothie in collaboration with Postcard Bakery on Carmine Street earlier that morning. Needless to say, there was plenty to celebrate. The festivities commenced with music from deejay and model Mona Matsuoka, who donned a chic Monse mini-dress. Fresh from the runway show, where she shocked the audience with a catwalk performance, actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish held court in a cozy corner booth. Nearby, model Coco Rocha chatted with cult-followed makeup artist Patrick Ta and stylist Elizabeth Sulcer.

From Love Island’s most adorable couple, Miguel Harichi and Leah Kateb, to top-streamed singer Bella Poarch, the crowd took the dance floor as the music escalated. Fellow NYFW designer and pal Prabal Gurung, who showed his spring 2025 collection earlier in the day, popped by with friends and fashion swans Dorothy Wang and Ezra Williams. Upon his arrival, Kim delighted Williams with a stunning floral cake by From Lucie to toast his birthday. This heartfelt dessert was a delightful treat for guests as they danced the night away, extending well into Sunday morning. Staying true to the spirit of fashion week parties, this one was an all-nighter.
