Kmart, Bunnings, Big W, Target Best& Less and Westfield have released their trading hours for the October long weekend public holiday.

Millions of Australians will enjoy a day off on Monday, October 2, to mark Labour Day in NSW, ACT and SA, and the King’s Birthday in QLD.

Here’s your definitive state-by-state guide to when your local Bunnings, Kmart, Big W, Target, Best&Less and Westfield stores are open over the public holiday.

Kmart

NSW

  • Monday, October 2 – all stores OPEN
  • All stores have altered trading hours – opening between 8am and 10am and closing between 4pm and 8pm. Customers are encouraged to check their local store’s trading hours here
  • All 24-hour stores will trade as usual

ACT

  • Monday, October 2 – all stores OPEN
  • All stores will trade from 8am to 8pm

QLD

  • Monday, October 2 – all stores OPEN
  • All stores have altered trading hours – all open between 9am and 10am and close between 4pm and 6pm.
  • Customers are encouraged to check the closing time of their local store here.

SA

  • Monday, October 2 – most stores CLOSED, except for Mt Barker, Port Lincoln, Victor Harbour, Murray Bridge, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Berri, Kadina and Port Augusta which are OPEN from 9am to 5pm and Rundle Mall which is OPEN from 11am to 5pm.
