Oasis Post Sparks Speculation Gallagher Brothers Said More Than Maybe To Reunion

Music fans are wondering whether Tuesday is going to be the day that Oasis will announce a reunion after the iconic rock band teased an upcoming announcement on social media.

Liam and Noel Gallagher, who last performed together roughly 15 years ago before their group disbanded, both reshared a social media post from Oasis’ official account this past weekend suggesting that news will drop about the band sometime Tuesday.

The post cites 8 a.m. as the time of the apparent announcement; however, it doesn’t refer to a specific time zone.

The teaser from the siblings, who have famously feuded over the years, arrives after The Sunday Times reported that “industry insiders” believe the band will get back together for shows next summer.

The reunion plan would see the band play Manchester’s Heaton Park along with a 10-night run in London’s Wembley Stadium, according to the Times, the latter of which would break the new record for shows recently set by Taylor Swift.

The Times report also cited “murmurings” that Oasis would headline Glastonbury Festival next year.

After a social media user responded to the report and described Heaton Park as a “terrible venue for concerts,” Liam Gallagher replied: “See you down the front you big fanny.”

“I never did like that word FORMER,” the former Oasis lead singer wrote in a separate post on Sunday.

He also replied to a number of other posts including one featuring a graphic describing “strong” rumors circulating around an Oasis reunion next year.

“News to me Rkid,” the singer commented.

The speculation of an Oasis reunion arrives after Liam Gallagher went on a tour back in June to support the 30th anniversary of “Definitely Maybe,” the band’s debut studio album.

A reissue of the project — which features the tracks “Supersonic,” “Shakermaker” and “Live Forever” — is set to drop Friday.
