These days, the musician says he’s drawn to fashion that’s all about cool simplicity. “First thing, it has to be black,” he says of his signature wardrobe. “Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of shorts on trousers. I’ve been mixing checked shirts with hoodies and leather jackets. I’ve been mixing stuff the way I want to.” He notes he’s being trying to experiment more with silhouettes—and is ready to take risks for the summer. “Sometimes when you pop out and try something new, you kind of get a little anxiety,” he says. “But seeing that other people fuck with this, like, ‘Shit—I’m an innovator.’”
Post-Vuitton show, the star snapped a few paparazzi photos in his look, and says he got to chat with some fellow performers. “I met a couple of my colleagues, it was fun having great convos with them and laughing,” he says. “Especially Burna Boy; I properly had a conversation with him. And I had a good conversation with Pharrell, [where] I got the opportunity to express my gratefulness and happy I was to be at the show.” Now that the excitement is over, however, the star says he’s heading back into creative work mode. “Music, music, music—everything that I’ve been working on for the past months,” he says of his summer plans. “I’m planning to execute and express all of these ideas and have fun with it. Have fun and enjoy life. And personally, enjoy my money.”
