There were two parties at Paris Fashion Week worth reporting on: Rosalía’s 32nd birthday bash at the Hôtel Particulier in Montmartre (where Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner celebrated with just about everyone else in possession of a brand ambassadorship), and Miu Miu’s dinner on the final evening of the spring 2025 season (where Cara Delevingne, Alexa Chung, and Little Simz celebrated with just about everyone else in possession of a brand ambassadorship).
The best-dressed guest was, of course, the stylist Lotta Volkova, who wore Miu Miu’s strange half-socks with what looked like a spring 2024 band-aid around one of her toes. It was fun, too, to see Nicole Kidman posing with her 16-year-old daughter Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban in coordinating school-girl skirts. The actor has spent the past six months soft-launching her first-born into the fashion world: first as a plus-one to Balenciaga’s fall 2024 couture presentation, and then as a plus-one to Omega’s red-carpet event during the Paris Olympics, and then as a Miuccia Prada-anointed new face.
Kidman-Urban this week opened the designer’s spring 2025 catwalk in a poplin skirt set and a peep-toe heel, compounding Miu Miu’s unique ability to transform next-gen nepo babies into bonafide models, among them Esther McGregor, Zaya Wade, Ella Emhoff, and Eliot Sumner. (Let it be remembered that it was Mrs. Prada who first cast Lila Moss in a runway show just days after her 18th birthday at the spring 2021 edition of Milan Fashion Week.) I’d imagine mom Nicole Kidman will be rapping on Prada’s door for her own cameo in the seasons to come. She looks good in a school-girl skirt.
