Naomi Campbell Pairs Chanel Couture With an Unexpected Shoe

Naomi Campbell may not have uttered the quote “We don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day,” but the supermodel is definitely doing things on her own terms.

Campbell joined the likes of Kerry Washington, Greta Gerwig, Keira Knightley, and Vanessa Paradis at the Chanel fall 2024 couture show in Paris—the first show since former creative director Virginie Viard bowed out. The super turned to the Chanel couture archives for her look, wearing a silver sequined jacket and skirt set from the fall 2022 collection. Adopting a “more is more” fashion philosophy, she added black oversized sunglasses and a pair of silver dangly earrings that matched her embellished couture.

While Campbell initially paired her look with black, T-strap heels, she switched into something far more comfortable post-show. Spotted again leaving the Ritz Hotel, Campbell traded her heels for a pair of purple-and-white Nike Air Jordans with black details, creating a stark juxtaposition between her sporty heels and ladylike suit. This isn’t the first time the model has paired the classic Nike silhouette with a more feminine outfit. In February 2023 she attended a JPMorgan Chase event in Miami (as one does) wearing a white shirtdress with an elaborate white leather belt and pink-and-gray Jordans. We love to see Naomi Campbell apply the same styling M.O. to couture.
