My Festive Style Guide: Emilyn Teh

Throughout December, we’ll be shining a light on your festive style. Here’s how Vogue Club member Emilyn Teh is spending the season—and what she’s gifting her closest friends…

1. What is your favorite festive ritual?

I love a celebratory meal at The Polo Bar to kick off the holiday season with bacon-roasted Brussels sprouts and Charleston bourbon pecan pie with whipped cream. (Special thanks to the maître d’, Nelly Moudime, for always making the evening extra special for my birthday, which falls on Christmas eve!)

2. What’s the perfect gift to surprise your closest friend?

Joseph Phelps’ Cabernet Sauvignon is my go-to. (The Napa winery also happened to be acquired by LVMH last year.) 2018 was a particularly good vintage if you’re looking to stock up!

3. What’s the best gift you have received in recent years?

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Palm Beach for New Year’s Eve last year. It was our first visit—and the perfect way to ring in 2023! We have the fondest memories of having brunch pool-side at Swifty’s and counting down to the new year at The Breakers, in all of its Gilded Age glamour.

4. It’s not the festive season without a glamorous party: What item of clothing (or accessory) is sure to make you stand out from the crowd?

I am always ready to dance in a Giambattista Valli party dress. Bows, sparkle, tulle—they’ve got it all!

5. Lastly, what’s the one beauty item that speaks to your holiday season allure?

Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Luster in Mirror or Starlight. A little sparkle never hurt anyone!

Flag Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

Water Repellent Hooded Down Jacket

Geometric-Jacquard Twill Midi Dress
