Smallcap stock, which has given multibagger of 355% returns in the last one year, Worth Investment & Trading had announced a 3:2 bonus share issue earlier in the month of October and fixed November 14 as the record date for the purpose.“This is further to our letters dated October 5, 2024 intimating the approval by the members for issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1.5:1 i.e (for every 2 Shares, 3 shares will be allotted as Bonus Shares) In this regard, we wish to inform that the Company has fixed Thursday, November 14, 2024 as the Record Date for the purpose of determining the equity shareholders of the Company eligible for bonus equity shares of the Company,” said the company in its filing to the exchanges.
This means the stock will start trading on an ex-bonus basis from tomorrow, which further implies that today is the last day to buy the stock in order to qualify for the eligibility for the bonus shares.
This is the first ever instance of the company issuing bonus shares to its shareholders, according to the Trendlyne data.A 3:2 bonus share issue means that for every 2 shares a shareholder already owns, they will receive 3 additional shares as a bonus.
This increases the total number of shares held by the shareholder but does not change the overall value of their investment, as the price per share is adjusted proportionally to account for the increased number of shares.
The shares of Worth Investment & Trading closed 5% lower at Rs 37.47 on the BSE on Tuesday.
