A motorcyclist has died in hospital the day after he was thrown from his Harley-Davidson when it collided with a Nissan SUV at a Princess Highway intersection south of Sydney.
The 55-year-old man sustained critical injuries in the crash at about 6pm on Friday and was airlifted to St George Hospital where he died the following day.
“Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Princes Highway and Formosa St, Sylvania, following reports a Nissan SUV and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle had collided, ejecting the rider,” NSW Police said.

The 29-year-old male driver of the Nissan was arrested following ongoing investigations into the incident.
He was taken to Sutherland Hospital for mandatory testing before being escorted to Sutherland Police Station.
“He was charged with negligent driving – occasioning grievous bodily harm and not give way at lights to oncoming vehicle (right turn),” NSW Police said.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday, November 16.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
