Mortal Kombat 1 developer NetherRealm is about to release a brand new character, as DC anti-hero Peacemaker joins the roster. John Cena’s Peacemaker has a February 28 early access release date for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The new character will be available to download and use following a period of server downtime, which runs from 3pm GMT UK time until approximately 5pm GMT.
Confirmation of server downtime was announced by Warner Bros. Support on X (formerly Twitter).
“To bring the Peace, there will be server maintenance starting 2/28 at 9am CT/7am PT, lasting for approximately two hours. Keep an eye on this post for further details,” Warner explains.
It’s also worth pointing out that Peacemaker will initially only be available to fans who have purchased the MK1: Kombat Pack.
The Kombat Pack season pass gives users access to six new fighters, including Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Ermac, Homelander and Takahashi Takeda.
If you don’t have the Kombat Pack and want to purchase Peacemaker, then you’ll have to wait until March 6 when he’ll be available to buy individually.
Peacemaker will be followed by the release of Janet Cage as a Kameo Fighter later in March.
Kameo Fighters are guest characters that can be called on to assist you during matches.
The Kombat Pack adds five new Kameo characters to the game, including Tremor, Mavado, Janet Cage, Ferra and Khameleon.
If you want early access to all of the new fighters and Kameo characters, then the Kombat Pack is available for £34.99.
