Mortal Kombat 1 Khameleon release time, date and how to access Kameo fighter | Gaming | Entertainment

Mortal Kombat 1 fans are counting down to the release of new Kameo fighter Khameleon. Able to copy the moves of the female ninja characters, Khameleon is the second post-launch Kameo fighter, following the release of Tremor in 2023. The latest Kameo fighter has a January 16 release date on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Judging by previous Mortal Kombat 1 DLC updates, Khameleon will join the game at around 5pm GMT UK time.

The Khameleon release date was officially announced by Mortal Kombat 1 developer NetherRealm on X.

“She’s learned from the best,” reads a NetherRealm tweet. “Khameleon joins the #MK1 kameo roster on January 16.”

Khameleon first made an appearance in Mortal Kombat Trilogy, before returning in the Wii version of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

If you want to access the latest Kameo fighter, you’ll need to purchase the Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack.

Priced at a whopping £34.99, the Kombat Pack adds classic Mortal Kombat characters like Quan Chi, Ermac and Takahashi Takeda.

That’s on top of crossover fighters from other franchises, including DC’s Peacemaker and Homelander from The Boys.

Upcoming Kameo characters joining the game include Mavado, Johnny Cage and Ferra.

Playable DLC characters are available early for users with the Kombat Pack. The same characters are available as standalone purchases a week later.
