Mercedes India launches CLE Cabriolet and AMG GLC 43 Coupe: Check varients, price, special features, other details

Mercedes-Benz India has launched two new models, the Mercedes CLE Cabriolet and AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe, in the Indian market. These models are part of the six new launches planned by Mercedes-Benz for this year and will be imported to India via the CBU route.

The Mercedes CLE Cabriolet is available in a single variant, the CLE 300 AMG Line, priced at Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom). It can be exclusively booked on the Mercedes-Benz India website. This model is the third convertible available in India after the E 53 Cabriolet and the SL 55 Roadster. The CLE Cabriolet, globally unveiled in July 2023, is based on Mercedes’ Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform, which also underpins the C-Class. It features a design similar to the outgoing E-Class coupe and cabriolet, with a large grille, shark-nose effect, and a long bonnet.

The interior of the CLE Cabriolet is reminiscent of the C-Class. It comes with three leather upholstery options: Tonka brown/black, Power red/black, and black. The soft top is available in two fabric colors: black and red. The car has a 2+2 seating layout with an 11.9-inch portrait-style infotainment display and a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Other notable features include 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, digital LED lights, a tiltable infotainment screen, AMG sports seats, an AMG Nappa leather steering wheel with paddles, a Burmester 3D sound system with 17 speakers, 710W output, AR navigation, HUD display, 360-degree camera, park assist, and blind spot assist. The soft top can be opened or closed in 20 seconds and includes a segment-first center airbag.

The CLE Cabriolet is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 255 hp and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and has a claimed top speed of 250 km/h. The car also includes ISG, providing an additional output of 17 kW and 205 Nm torque. Other highlights are the 4Matic AWD system, AMG Sports suspension, and Sports direct steer system.

Mercedes AMG GLC 43 Coupe: Price and Specification

“Moving to the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe 4Matic, it’s priced at Rs 1.11 crore (ex-showroom). The car was unveiled globally in September 2023,” according to the company. The new GLC 43 4Matic features a sloped rear end, AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical struts, sporty aprons with flics, sporty air intakes, a roof-integrated spoiler, AMG-specific side skirting, and quad exhaust tips. It’s offered in nine color options.The interior of the GLC 43 Coupe features a black interior with Nappa leather, an AMG-spec steering wheel, and sporty bucket seats with red seat belts and stitching. The infotainment system includes the new MBUX user interface, a digital instrument cluster, and a HUD display. The Coupe also features AMG Track Pace software that calculates lap time and other details. Additional features include a HUD display, LED digital lights, a 360-degree camera, Burmester 3D sound system, keyless go package, and more.The AMG GLC 43 Coupe is powered by a mild-hybrid 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 416 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Mercedes claims the coupe can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Additional features include a Mercedes 4Matic AWD system with rear-wheel steering, ride control suspension, three-stage AMG steering, and various driving modes – Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, and Race.
