Melania Trump Might Not Be Living In The White House Full Time

Melania Trump, the former and soon-to-be-again first lady, was absent at nearly every step of her husband’s campaign for president this go-around. Now, multiple media reports indicate she’s not likely to spend much time at the White House, either.

Sources told CNN Wednesday that Melania Trump will most likely spend a majority of her time living between New York City and Palm Beach, Florida. According to people familiar with her plans, President-elect Donald Trump’s third wife wants to spend time with her community of friends in Florida and near the couple’s son, Barron, while he attends New York University.

Despite the living arrangement, sources said, she will still participate in major White House events and have some kind of platform as first lady.

CNN’s reporting follows a similar story from People last week, when a social source close to the Trumps told the outlet it was “not likely” the White House would be her primary residence and that she wants to spend most of her time near her son.

“As much as Melania loves Mar-a-Lago and her life in Palm Beach, she will spend more time in New York with her son, who is more important to her than anything else,” the source said.

Melania Trump has already shirked some expectations for the incoming first lady. On Wednesday, The New York Post reported that she will decline the traditional invitation to meet with outgoing First Lady Jill Biden because of her anger over the FBI’s raid of her and her husband’s Mar-a-Lago residence in 2022.

“Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer,” the source claimed. “The Bidens are disgusting.”

Sources told CNN, however, that she’s declining the meeting due to a scheduling conflict with her book tour for her recently released memoir.
