Meghan Markle flaunts £210,000 worth of ‘sentimental’ rings and £12,500 necklace | Royal | News

The infamous engagement ring of the Duchess of Sussex made a comeback in Canada, ending many speculations about what had happened to it. Harry gave Meghan the ring when he proposed to her in 2017.

The stunning piece comprises one huge cushion-cut Botswana diamond and two diamonds from her mother-in-law, the late Princess Diana’s collection.

The centrepiece – a remarkable 3-carat stone – exhibits “exceptional quality”, showcasing “flawless clarity and a captivating hue”, according to the experts.

After more than 18 months, Meghan opted to refine the ring, exchanging its original yellow gold band for a delicate, diamond-studded band.

The ring recently emerged as “the most iconic royal engagement ring” according to a new study.

Maxwell Stone, creative director at jewellers Steven Stone, said: “Taking into account that the 3 to 4-carat centre stone is extremely high quality with incredible colour and clarity, I’d estimate the ring to be worth £120,000 ($150,000).”

Prince Harry presented Meghan with a wedding band made from Welsh gold, which was a gift from his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

The tradition of the royal family using Welsh gold for wedding rings began in 1923 with the Queen Mother.

The band was crafted by Cleave & Company, the esteemed jeweller responsible for crafting Meghan’s iconic three-stone diamond engagement ring.

Mr Stone claimed it’s “a traditional choice for royal weddings, symbolising purity and longevity in marriage.”

Its worth is estimated at £10,000 ($12,700).

The Duchess of Sussex first debuted her eternity ring when she attended the Trooping the Colour ceremony in 2019.

Usually positioned beside her wedding band and engagement ring, the eternity ring holds a special significance as it was a heartfelt gift from Harry on their first wedding anniversary.

But according to the experts, the ring is even more significant as it pays homage to their family “in a unique way”.

Mr Stone said: “Meghan’s diamond eternity ring exudes glamour with its inclusion of peridot, emerald, and sapphire stones – representing the birthstones of Meghan, Harry, and Archie. The sentimental significance of incorporating their family’s birthstones makes it a cherished choice from Prince Harry.

Each of these birthstones carries its own symbolism and meaning; sapphires are believed to offer protection to loved ones, peridots are associated with empowerment, and emeralds symbolise renewal and affection, encapsulating the profound bond shared within their family.

The eternity ring is estimated to be worth £80,000 ($100,000).
