Staff members at a McDonald’s have been hit and yelled at by a group of teenage girls in an alleged crime spree throughout Melbourne’s CBD.
Social media video has circulated of the alleged assault at McDonald’s Melbourne Central, which occurred just before midday on Wednesday.
The footage shows a group of girls yelling at several employees before one hits a worker on the head.

A short affray ensues between the girls and the McDonald’s workers before a member of the public attempts to interject.
According to Victoria Police, the same girls were involved in an alleged robbery shortly before the incident.
The teenage girls allegedly approached a 15-year-old girl on a platform at Melbourne Central Station and demanded she hand over her handbag.
The 15-year-old sustained minor injuries during the incident.
The group then allegedly fled the scene before they assaulted the staff members at McDonald’s.
The four teenagers were arrested by police after the second alleged incident.
A 17-year-old girl from St Kilda is expected to be charged on summons.
A 12-year-old Mill Park girl, a 13-year-old Coburg North girl and a 14-year-old Preston girl received cautions for attempted robbery and recklessly causing injury and affray.
In a statement, McDonald’s Australia said the safety of its crew was its “top priority” and that anti-social behaviour was not tolerated at its restaurants.
“We won’t accept abuse, intimidation, threats or violence towards our customers or employees,” it said.
“Our employees acted in accordance with our emergency response procedures and immediately contacted police.
“No crew members were injured during the incident, and we are continuing to support crew and their families.”
