Margot Robbie seems to be making up for lost time after spending many months of the year in heels for the Barbie press tour. Now, she’s deservedly committing herself to a life—and wardrobe—of comfort. But that doesn’t mean she has to give up her tall shoes.
The actor was spotted in Perth, Australia wearing a pair of tennis ball yellow platform Crocs. The fluorescent clogs come with a nearly two-and-a-half-inch platform, so Robbie is still getting a height boost while staying comfy. Keeping with the playfulness of her brightly hued shoes, Robbie wore a black graphic baby tee from Anna Sui, which featured a drawing of a pink-haired girl and a dog. She juxtaposed the more exuberant pieces with a demure pair of tailored black high-waisted trousers. The accessories were classic: black patent leather shoulder bag from Prada and a pair of rectangular sunglasses.
Robbie has been on a comfortable, but controversial, shoe kick as of late. Yesterday, the Academy Award nominee took a stroll in a pair of white Givenchy marshmallow sandals. The rubber slides, which retail for $575, come with a whopping 4.3 inch heel, and look, as my colleague Christian Allaire noted, like “a Crocs platform—but more fashun.” But the actor has also taken some classic flat shoes for a test drive, including a pair of peach Birkenstocks. This Barbie is living in the real world, after all.
