Luke Newton loves a tank top! Powered by black coffee, the Bridgerton star is prepping for the Loewe spring 2025 menswear show at Le Bristol in Paris, where he’s delighted to discover the brand has sent him a tank to wear under his pinstriped suit.
“Luke and I have talked a lot about kind of how much we love ’90s Brad Pitt, ’90s Leo,” Newton’s stylist Holly White says. But the real inspo today—with the oversized tailoring paired with lace-up sneakers (with the socks attached!)—is pure Tony Hawk. “I love skate style as well, in what I normally wear,” Newton says.
Newton exercises a certain precision when it comes to his look, creative directing every last detail. “I wanted to contrast the tailoring,” he adds. “I didn’t want to have a real smart haircut, like side parted or slicked back. I wanted it to be edgier.” With Liz Taw on hand to help him execute his “curly micro-mullet” vision, he looks every part a high fashion skater boy.
The Loewe show marks a logical next step for the actor, who sported many a daring look on his Bridgerton tour. “I’ve been such a fan of Loewe for a really long time and I was waiting for the opportunity to be able to come and experience this,” he says. “And also,” White adds, “[Jonathan Anderson] loves a ribbed tank, and we love a ribbed tank!”
