The Seahawks and Lions delivered fireworks during an offensive explosion on Monday night.

From Jared Goff’s perfect game to an opportunistic Lions defense, here are five takeaways from Detroit’s 42-29 win over Seattle in Week 4 of “Monday Night Football.”

We want a rematch in January

Based on the kind of games the Seahawks and Lions have played against each other recently, sign us up for Round 5 in January.

Seattle and Detroit have met in four consecutive regular seasons and have combined to score 312 points (78 points per game). The Seahawks won the previous three meetings, including the last two before Monday by nine points combined.

Both offenses were explosive again in this meeting, with the Seahawks and Lions combining for 905 yards on offense (656 passing. 249 rushing) and 59 first downs, including a staggering 38 by Seattle, two shy of tying the NFL single-game record set by the Saints in 2013 against the Cowboys.

Jared Goff’s perfect game a reminder of the Lions’ potential

The former No. 1 overall pick threw a perfect game, going 18-of-18 for 292 yards (16.2 yards per attempt) and two touchdowns while adding another score on a seven-yard reception.
