Take it from Lily-Rose Depp: graphic tees are date night appropriate.
The actor enjoyed a night out at the Westside celebrity hotspot Giorgio Baldi alongside her girlfriend, rapper 070 Shake, in a punky t-shirt from Vivienne Westwood. The elbow-length shirt was printed with a pair of lips coated in smeared red lipstick. (The mouth in question belongs to model and actor Sara Stockbridge, a friend and muse of the late designer.) At the bottom corner of the shirt was Westwood’s emblematic orb, a combination of the Sovereign’s Orb and the rings of Saturn. While the shirt’s three-quarter sleeves are gray, they have a gold ribbed patch around the shoulder. The low scoop neck of the baseball shirt left plenty of real estate on her décolletage, which Depp decorated with a gold cross necklace.
Depp matched the red of the lips to her miniskirt. She added some more length to her legs with a pair of snakeskin slingback kitten heels, whose color coordinated nicely with her buttery, leather studded purse.
Lily-Rose Depp isn’t the only Gen Z celebrity leaning into graphic tees. Last month, Olivia Rodrigo wore a vampiric graphic tee ahead of the release of her sophomore album, Guts. The singer’s look also featured a pair of lips, hers belonging to Angelina Jolie. Both Depp and Rodrigo’s looks are a perverse approaches to the more classic lipstick print. Perhaps a sexy take on the more saccharine look is underway.
