In an increasingly digital world, there’s a sense of charm and tangibility to reading printed magazines. Stores like the beloved Casa Magazines in New York have proven that print isn’t dead. Lara Violetta, a content creator based in Paris, agrees: The TikTok creator and designer found herself constantly perusing magazine and book stores this past summer. “I noticed with the shift of fashion magazines publishing less issues a year, they are getting bigger and more difficult to carry,” Violetta says. She then got an idea: What if she created an easy carrier, for lugging all her beloved publications? “I thought of a way to carry my books and magazines of any size, and wear them as an accessory,” she says.
Enter the “Paper Bag.” Violetta created a fringed calfskin bag—which retails for 380 euros—that features adjustable straps, which are designed to carry around your favorite magazines and books. “It was really important for me to have an adjustable piece, something you can wear in many different ways,” says Violetta. It completes with a lipgloss and key holder, too. “At the moment, I also love to attach a pair of white vintage Balenciaga leather gloves and an old Dior Beauty charm to it,” says Violetta.

The accessory is just as functional as it is eye-catching. Violetta wanted a bag that matched the elegance of a print magazine. “Print will never lose its sophistication,” she says. What’s in her fringed bag these days? “Lately I’ve been carrying the Issy Woods book Queen Baby, Viscose Journal, Revue Magazine, and a French lessons book,” she says. (What? No Vogue?).
