KFC has announced it’s giving Aussies a taste of hidden menu items from around the world.
In a world-first, five lucky winners will be jet-setting to one of five top-secret locations to get their hands on items that have never been seen Down Under.
So, how does it work? Travellers will need to jump into the KFC App and begin the search for hidden international menu items which can be found on the international menus.

Fans on the hunt will need to locate the items and decide if the product feels a little out of place on the Aussie menu before adding it to their cart.
They will then go on the standby list to win a once-in-a-lifetime overseas experience in that meal’s country of origin.
“We love creating fresh and exciting opportunities for fans to interact with and try KFC,” Tami Cunningham, CMO at KFC Australia said.
“Since the only thing better than an overseas trip is our delicious fried chicken, we saw the perfect opportunity to combine the two and offer our fans the chance to experience the trip of a lifetime.
“So, make sure you have the app handy and get searching, because a world of KFC is dropping in the app, and you never know where you’ll be jet-setting to next.”
The fast food chain has already sent the first winner, Lisa Wenban, to Tokyo to try KFC Japan’s iconic Wafu Cutlet Burger, featuring a panko-crumbed chicken fillet coated in the iconic herbs and spices.
In addition to trying the burger in its country of origin, Lisa was given a five-day trip around the city.
Winning fans can look forward to business class flights and four-star accommodation, as well as spending money and cultural experiences to the value of $6000 — courtesy of the Colonel.
There are still four trips still up for grabs.
Entries for Kentucky Fly Chicken are open until March 18 — with four new international products to be found (one at a time) over four weeks.
A minimum spend of $1 within the KFC App is required to enter. Entrants must have a valid Australian passport and be ready for a cluckin’ good time around the world.
