Mum’s the word! Katie Holmes brought her mother, Kathleen Stothers-Holmes, and daughter, Suri Cruise, together for lunch in New York City. Judging by the look of it, the Holmes women have stylish genetics.
Holmes opted for a layered look. She wore a lemon sorbet-colored knit cashmere midi dress from Lisa Yang, and a black jacket with contrast stitching tied around her waist. Adding a piece from her forthcoming collaboration with A.P.C., she donned strappy black wedge sandals, which she wore with high black socks. She topped off her look with tortoiseshell sunglasses, a gold necklace, and a slouchy black purse.

Cruise, the spitting image of her mother, wore an on-trend boho look to lunch. She chose a tiered white halter dress, which she styled with a pair if heeled brown leather boots, and accessorized with a chunky silver bracelet. Stothers-Holmes, for her part, wore a white knit crewneck sweater with gray trousers, black ballet flats with criss-crossing straps, and silver bangles.
The Holmes women seem to share a lot of the same influences: a love of neutrals, pared-back style, and statement jewelry in particular. Now, we just need a multi-generational campaign in the books. A.P.C., we’re looking at you!
