Karine Jean-Pierre’s Reaction To Trump’s Latest Biden Conspiracy Says It All

Donald Trump’s latest conspiracy theory has caught the attention of the White House.

The former president shared a cartoonishly unfounded prediction Tuesday on his Truth Social platform that President Joe Biden might crash the upcoming Democratic National Convention — and reclaim the party’s support for a presidential nominee from Vice President Kamala Harris.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Trump’s rant during Wednesday’s briefing.

“The former president has made this suggestion that the current president may still want to be the Democratic presidential nominee, put that out on social media,” said Gray TV White House correspondent Jon Decker. “Does the president —?”

Jean-Pierre’s involuntary response said it all — as she audibly chortled at the idea.

“I see your reaction, that’s why I wanted to ask you this: Does the president in any way lament his decision to drop out of the race?” Decker continued.

“The president is proud of his decision. He’s proud of his decision,” Jean-Pierre replied.

Biden exited after a series of public missteps sowed doubt in his ability to defeat Trump at the ballot box a second time. He not only performed disastrously in his presidential debate with Trump in June, but had a number of verbal gaffes at key events in the weeks after.

Despite Biden voluntarily dropping out of the contest, however, Trump is weirdly unconvinced.

In his impressively baseless rant, Trump claimed Biden “feels that he made a historically tragic mistake” by dropping out — and suggested that the chances he “CRASHES” the convention later this month “to take back the Nomination” are an actual concern.

But Biden hasn’t wavered.

“The first major decision a party nominee makes is their choice for vice president,” he said Tuesday. “And Kamala Harris has made a great decision in choosing Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate. … The Harris-Walz ticket will be a powerful voice for working people.”
