Brisbane Lions forward Kai Lohmann bounced back remarkably after a crunching hit against Melbourne on Friday night.
The AFL livewire showed extraordinary courage to go back with the flight of a ball that was headed towards Demons defender Steven May during the first quarter.

Despite being on a collision course with the brute defender, Lohmann didn’t flinch as he went up for the mark and got poleaxed.
The hit instantly flattened the Lions’ excitement machine, who briefly looked stunned before jumping back up within seconds.
“His eyes looked like they were rolling,” Channel 7’s Brian Taylor said on commentary.
“That was a big hit; he got the hit from the body, and then the hit from the ground.”
Brisbane medical staff tried to rush out to him, but he was adamant about getting up and playing on.
Incredibly, not only did the 21-year-old get up and take his kick, but he got involved in the play again shortly after and had a flying shot at goal that just missed.
But Lohmann was eventually made to come off the ground and head down into the rooms to undergo a head injury assessment.
“It was a tough and physical opening term, and unfortunately there is some concern around Kai Lohmann,” Abbey Holmes said at quarter time.
“We saw the incident late in the opening term. It was a tough contest, he got sandwiched between the two Dees defenders.
“But it was more the contact that his head made with the ground.
“He did stay out there until the doctors forced him from the action. They did a quick HIA at that moment, before taking him down to the rooms for a SCAT6 assessment.
“He is such a livewire inside the Brisbane Lions forward line.”
Fellow Lions youngster Jasper Fletcher was waiting in the rooms as Brisbane’s sub but was not required after Lohmann passed the test.
He retook the field seven minutes into the second quarter.
“Things are looking good for Kai Lohmann,” Holmes said as he was about to come back on.
“He’s just resurfaced from the rooms and looks as though he’s passed that SCAT6, so he’ll get back into the action.”
