The hit competition reality TV show is back this month. Some of the stars dancing their way onto your screen this season include AFL star Ben Cousins, actors James Stewart and Lisa McCune, former Olympian-turned-politician Nova Peris and Australian cook and MasterChef winner Julie Goodwin.

The Twelve — season 2 premiere (Binge) Streaming July 11

The Logie-award-winning series gets a second outing with a new panel of jurors. The new case deals with the suspicious death of Bernice Price (Kris McQuade), a wealthy landowner in Western Australia. Her own daughter Sasha (Amy Matthews) is the accused alongside her ex-lover Patrick (Erroll Shand) who also worked on Bernice’s farm.

Sam Neill returns as ruthless lawyer Brett Colby and Frances O’Connor joins as fellow barrister Meredith Nelson Moore.

BRATS — film premiere (Disney Plus) Streaming July 5

This brand-new documentary delves into the lives of the “Brat Pack”, the iconic group of young actors who frequently came together in coming-of-age films in the 1980s.

Directed by Brat Packer Andrew McCarthy, BRATS sees him reunite with stars Demi Moore, Robe Lowe, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, Jon Cryer, Lea Thompson, Timothy Hutton and more to discuss “What did it mean to be part of the Brat Pack?”.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare — new film (Prime Video) Streaming July 25

Inspired by true events and declassified files of the British War Department, this action-comedy tells the story of the first-ever special forces unit formed during the Second World War by Prime Minister Winston Churchhill.

This “Ministry” engages in a mission against the Nazis employing ungentlemanly warfare techniques. The film stars Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, Henry Golding and Cary Elwes.

Lady in the Lake — series premiere (Apple TV Plus) Streaming July 19

Lady in the Lake stars Natalie Portman as Maddie Schwartz a Jewish housewife and Moses Ingram as Cleo Sherwood a mother navigating the political underbelly of Baltimore. Set in 1966, Maddie and Cleo’s stories are intertwined when Maddie finds Cleo’s body in a lake and becomes fixated on investigating her mysterious death.

The pursuit of the truth sees everyone in the two women’s orbit put in danger.

The Serpent Queen — season 2 premiere (Stan) Streaming July 12

The Serpent Queen is back. This provocative historical drama stars Samantha Morton as the infamous Queen of France, Catherine de Medici. While season one told the tale of how Catherine came to her position of power season two will pick up in her later years after she became Queen regent after crowning her son King last season.

Season two will set her against Queen Elizabeth I (Minnie Driver) while she faces a country on the brink of civil war.

The Imaginary — film premiere (Netflix) Streaming July 7

Based on the award-winning novel of the same name and directed by renowned animator Yoshiyuki Momose who worked on Spirited Away, this new animated film is guaranteed to be an instant classic.

The Imaginary is a tale of friendship, love, loss and the power of the imagination. When Amanda forgets her imaginary friend and constant companion Rudger, he’s forced to confront a mysterious threat and a new life in the “Town of Imaginaries” where other forgotten Imaginaries live.
