(NewsNation) — Grace Jabbari, the former girlfriend of actor Jonathan Majors, has dropped a civil suit against Majors that alleged assault and defamation.
Through their attorneys, the dancer and actor agreed that “all claims against Defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice,” according to court documents first reported by People magazine.
The civil suit was prompted by the Marvel and “Creed III” actor’s repeated public denial that he attacked Jabbari, despite his conviction last year on two misdemeanor charges. The case stemmed from an alleged fight the couple had in early 2023.
After the criminal conviction, Majors gave an interview to ABC News in which he claimed that Jabbari was lying about the pattern of abuse she alleged. As a result, Jabbari filed the civil case that has now ended.
Majors was on the cusp of major fame after appearances in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and the boxing sequel “Creed III” before the criminal case led his management firm to drop him. Marvel also cut ties with him. A film shot before Majors’ conviction, “Magazine Dreams,” has been acquired for theatrical release after the original production firm dropped it.
Jabbari’s credits include roles as a dancer in “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” “Barbie” and a 2020 production of “A Christmas Carol.”
