Harris, who is the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden dropped out, is step-mother to two children — Cole, 30, and Ella, 25 — with her husband Doug Emhoff.

In the viral clip, Vance 39, said Harris was one of the “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too”.

Aniston, 55, who does not have children and has been candid about her fertility struggles, reposted the video to her Instagram stories.

“Truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of the United States,” she wrote on Thursday.

“All I can say is, Mr Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day.

“I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”

Vance is a father of three, including two-year-old daughter Mirabel.

Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff also spoke out against Vance, writing on Instagram: “How can you be ‘childless’ when you have cutie-pie kids like Cole and I? I love my three parents.”

Doug Emhoff’s ex-wife Kerstin Emhoff told NBC News: “For over 10 years, since Cole and Ella were teenagers, Kamala has been a co-parent with Doug and I.

“She is loving, nurturing, fiercely protective, and always present. I love our blended family and am grateful to have her in it.”

Biden has endorsed Harris as his heir apparent ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago next month.

Biden formally dropped out of the race on Sunday US time.

Aniston’s rare call out comes years after revealing the IVF treatments she underwent while married to actor Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005.

“All the years and years and years of speculation (over when the couple would have children) … it was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas — you name it. I was throwing everything at it,” Aniston told Allure.

“I would have given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”

However, the actress said she has had “zero regrets”.

“I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

Aniston was married to fellow actor Pitt from 2000 to 2005, and to then actor Justin Theroux between 2015 and 2017.

Aniston has previously talked about her divorce from Theroux and addressed speculation the pair broke up because she “wouldn’t give him a kid”.

“It was absolute lies,” she said. “I don’t have anything to hide at this point.”
