Jason Kelce Spills On Why He Started ‘Tearing Up’ During Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

Jason Kelce explained why he got emotional while experiencing one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in London recently.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center — in a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast with his brother and Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce — recalled the singer gifting her black hat to a fan while she performed “22” in what has become a tradition of hers on tour.

“Dude, I’ve never cried at a fucking concert, and I was literally tearing up watching this little girl’s entire… I’m about to tear up right now. It was fucking so special,” said Jason Kelce, who was joined by his wife, Kylie Kelce, at the concert.

Swift’s sold-out London stops served up royal memories for the brothers as the two met Prince William, along with two of his children, Prince William and Princess Charlotte, backstage.

The Kansas City Chiefs star also joined Swift on stage during one of the shows. He dressed up in a top hat and tailcoat for a skit during her song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

“It was insanely impressive,” said Jason Kelce about attending the show. “There’s something, like obviously, Taylor’s an amazing singer-songwriter, but then to be able to go out there and be a performer at that level for how long she was up there for, like, three and a half hours, four hours?”

“Yeah, 45 songs, bub,” Travis Kelce replied.

“Oh my gosh,” Jason Kelce said.

He went on to remark that if he did what Swift did “for one song,” he’d have to change his clothes.

“Man, I’m tired of drinking these beers, and Taylor’s still singing,” said Jason Kelce, who laughed along with his brother. “I can’t feel my hand anymore because all these friendship bracelets are cutting off my circulation.”

He called the show an “awesome experience” and thanked Swifties for making it a “very memorable” outing where they knew all the songs. He added that her supporters reminded him of fans he encountered at a Bruce Springsteen show.

“But it was equal kind of level of like just these insane fandoms that love these artists so much that they know all the songs,” Jason Kelce said, “all like — the run of show, even.”
