Jack Antonoff is no stranger to a good bit (see: his whole spiel in Taylor Swift’s 2020 documentary, Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions), and he’s letting it be known on his Instagram Stories. In case you haven’t had internet access over the last few days or you haven’t been keeping up with the celeb gossip train lately, allow me to catch you up to speed: Scooter Braun is seemingly losing some of his biggest clients, from Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato to J Balvin and Idina Menzel. There are even rumored reports that one of his first clients, Justin Bieber, might be on the hunt for new management, although reps have denied the rumors via Page Six: “Of course, there are issues… They definitely did not split.”
The internet loves a good joke and will jump at the opportunity to meme TF out of any situation, and Scooter’s sitch is no different. Some of the best punchlines landed on Twitter, where “Karma”-obsessed Swifties and even Scooter himself started weighing in on the whole thing:
That also includes Grammy-winning producer and T. Swift’s bestie, Jack. While promoting a live album he recorded at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall on his Instagram Stories, the Bleachers frontman decided to use a screenshot of a Sims-inspired meme to post the pre-order link. The meme, which pictures a Sim sitting at a computer while her baby is lit on fire beside her, reads, “Not now, sweetie, mommy is trying to figure out why Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and Idina Menzel just fired Scooter Braun as their manager.”
Because Jack is one of Taylor’s longtime friends and collaborators, fans think this is his way of showcasing his loyalty to the “Cruel Summer” crooner during the alleged mass exodus of Scooter’s clientele. Since posting the meme, Jack hasn’t publicly commented on the situation, and Taylor has also stayed tight-lipped.
