Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness looked every inch the glamour couple as they attended the star-studded 2023 Met Gala in New York in May.
The Hollywood couple – who have been married for 27 years – stood out from the crowd, with viewers dubbing Furness “unrecognisable” in a stunning black figure-hugging gown.

The couple met as co-stars on the set of Australian TV show Correlli in 1995.
Just four months into dating, the X-Men star previously spoke out about how he always knew he was going to marry Furness – who is 13 years his senior.
The pair tied the knot just a year later in April 1996.
“I knew two weeks into meeting Deb that we were going to be together for the rest of our lives,” Jackman told TODAY in a 2018 interview.
The duo are doting parents to two adopted kids – son Oscar and daughter Ava.
The loved-up couple now look worlds apart from their younger years – as they turn heads at every celebrity event with an astonishing transformation which has piqued the interest of fans.
In mid-2020, Furness revealed she was on a health kick – but quickly pointed out her husband had picked up a baking hobby in lockdown that made it difficult for her to stay on track.
“I’m on a keto diet, which is no carbs,” she told reporters at the time.
Keto is a low-carb, high-fat diet that removes almost all carbs – including bread, grains and starch.
Despite joking Jackman’s hobby was “annoying”, she said his homemade bread was “so good”.
“I wake up to the smell of fresh bread,” she said, revealing how Jackman tweaked his bread recipe to help her stay on track with her diet.
“He has adjusted and he is now making me a low-carb bread. So I get to have that,” she said.
It’s unclear whether Furness is still on the keto diet – but she looked dramatically different at the 2023 Met Gala when she wowed in a black gown.
“Deb is looking incredible! Does she even age ever?” one fan asked as another agreed, saying the 67-year-old was looking “fierce”.
One suggested: “Wow Mrs Jackman. You are smoking hot.”
While another added: “You look great Hugh but Deb steals the show!”
Jackman, himself, has always kept his fans in the loop with his diet – even spilling secrets on how he achieved his ripped superhero physique for Wolverine in the new Deadpool movie, slated for release in Australia in May 2024.
“Bulking. A day in the life.” the 54-year-old said in his caption, alongside a picture of his meals.
“Thank you chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst… Becoming. Wolverine. Again.”
The picture showed a variety of dishes – including chicken burgers, grass-fed sirloin steak, salmon and black bass.
In an interview with CNN, the Greatest Showman star clarified he never turned to steroids to bulk up for his famous Marvel role.
“I just did it the old school way,” Jackman said.
“And I tell you, I’ve eaten more chickens – I’m so sorry to all the vegans and vegetarians and to the chickens of the world.
“Literally the karma is not good for me. If the deity has anything related to chickens, I’m in trouble.”
Indeed, photos on Instagram show the hard work Jackman puts into sculpting his physique for Wolverine.
Snaps show him working out with weights, running on a treadmill and taking a dip in the ocean.
“Sleep, train, eat, recover, repeat. Becoming Wolverine,” he posted in March.
In June, Jackman hinted he almost gave into temptations after his family baked cupcakes and cakes with sprinkles and chocolate fudge
The actor shared a picture showing the sweet baked goods next to his “healthy” bowl of quinoa, vegetable and chicken.
“The awesome smells of our home bakery – versus my will to stay on track,” he said, along with an angry face emoji.
In July 2023, Jackman shared pictures of the “cheat” meals he consumed in a single week, which consisted of a traditional roast dinner with Yorkshire pudding, a cheese platter and a variety of desserts.
In a post shared on August 21, he posed proudly with his hair coiffed and bushy beard flecked with grey.
“Fresh,” he simply captioned his post – to which fans swooned.
“In my opinion Hugh Jackman is the most handsome man on this planet earth,” one follower declared.
“So handsome! You age so well,” another added.
