The home of “30 Rock” actor Grizz Chapman was destroyed after a tractor-trailer crashed into it after careening through a condo complex. In total, four people were injured, 11 cars were damaged and Chapman’s Woodbridge, Virginia, condo he has lived in for two years was left wrecked after the 18-wheeler driver lost control of his rig earlier this week.
NBC4 Washinton spoke with the 6-foot-11 Chapman, who starred as a member of Tracy Morgan’s entourage on the hit show TV “30 Rock,” about the incident, and needless to say he was quite sad and shaken up. Luckily, he wasn’t in his condo in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. when the crash happened.
“I just play it over in my head that the truck just came in like that, and that was a side that I sleep on,” Chapman said.

“My neighbor called screaming and crying and concerned because everybody thought that I was downstairs,” Chapman said.
Right now, he’s not totally sure of the extent of the damage, telling NBC4 that “A lot of 30 Rock memorabilia that I had over the years,” had been destroyed. Video from the outlet shows Chapman’s house in complete disarray. The wall is mostly caved in where the truck ran into it, and there’s debris scattered all over. “Everything is all over the plane,” Chapman told NBC4. “Everything’s everywhere.”
Here’s how the crash went down, according to NBC4 Washington:
Police told News4 the crash was caused by an SUV that pulled in front of the huge truck as the driver headed south on Gordon Boulevard.
Investigators say the SUV’s driver, a 67-year-old man, was trying to make a left on Gordon when he didn’t have the right of way.
The truck T-boned the SUV, the driver lost control and the truck crashed into the building, leaving Chapman without a home and many of his priceless belongings.

Prince William County police say they’re still investigating this crash and charges are coming soon.
Now, Chapman finds himself without a permanent home for the holidays. He told the news that he’s temporarily living in a hotel because he’s waiting on insurance, adding that he won’t get into another condo until January.
“I just got to figure out from here and hopefully I get some sort of help,” Chapman told NBC4 Washington.
