Giants WR Malik Nabers ruled out vs. Seahawks with concussion

The New York Giants’ start to the 2024-25 NFL season has gone from bad to worse.

On Friday, Giants coach Brian Daboll said that Malik Nabers, one of the league’s top rookies, will be unavailable for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Daboll added that the wide receiver is still working through the NFL’s concussion protocol.

The 21-year-old was hurt in the fourth quarter during a 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 26. The sixth-overall pick didn’t practice this week, and his next chance to play will be Oct. 13 against the Bengals.

Nabers leads the league with 35 catches. He’s also tallied 386 yards and three touchdowns, making him the first player in the NFL to have that combination of statistics through his first four games.

Losing Nabers for Sunday’s showdown is a big loss for New York, as the rookie has made an instant impact at the beginning of his professional career.

The Giants sit fourth in NFC East, with three losses and one win.
