Fortnite DOWN – How long are servers offline for OG season 7 and 8 downtime | Gaming | Entertainment

Fortnite developer Epic Games is taking the game offline for extended maintenance as part of the launch of update 27.10, which ushers in the start of OG Season 7 and 8. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC, update 27.10 will be available to download on the morning of November 16. It will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which means you won’t be able to play Fortnite for at least a couple of hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Fortnite, check out the 27.10 server downtime schedule below.

The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside details on when servers will be taken offline for maintenance.

“What do you call frozen pirate treasure? …Pol-arrr loot!” reads an Epic tweet.

“Downtime for v27.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking being disabled shortly beforehand.”

For UK fans, this means that Fortnite will be taken offline in full at 9am GMT, while matchmaking will be disabled at 8.30am.

Epic hasn’t revealed exactly when downtime will come to an end, but maintenance typically lasts for around a couple of hours.

This means Fortnite should be back online by 11am GMT UK time at the latest.

As part of the update, Epic will bring back Frosty Flights and a snow biome. That’s in addition to Pirate Camps, “swashbuckling gear” and various weapons and items.

Unvaulted weapons include the Flint-Knock Pistol, the Minigun, and the powerful Quad Launcher.

Players will also be able to use the Poison Dart Trap, albeit not in Zero Build. The Itemised Glider Redeploy will also make a return, not to mention Buried Treasure, which should play into some challenges.

Perhaps most exciting of all is the return of the X-4 Stormwing and the Pirate Cannon, the latter of which lets you launch your teammates.
